Our Survey Data Results
This page is about the data that we have surveyed in the past weeks. The purpose of this survey is to get feedback on what we can change or add to our diner. Also, with this survey, can decide whether we can do services like delivering compost to people who garden or the community. However, our group is suppose to have at least 100 responses, but we have only 60 responses in total. We would like it if you could answer our survey so we can get 100 responses. Also, this page will be updated if new responses have been added. Due to the responses we have decided to not engage in provided compost for our customers due to it not being in high demand.
Results
Demographics
The results of this question is that the age of the people who answered this survey were 16-21 years old. Also, 14% of the people we surveyed were 22-30 years old. And, 10.5% of people were around the age of 10-15. This is important because with age, health is important. Health can change along with age. An example is that in the years of 2011-2014, Americans who are middle age have the highest obesity rate at 41%.
Here in this question, we asked the people we surveyed for their gender and 28.6% were Male and 71.4% were Female. This is an important factor because in the US, 60% of adults are considered to be overweight and more females are considered to be obese while men are just overweight. This will help our group learn to portion control the food that is served in the diner by giving healthier options on the menu which you can check out on the next page.
Portion Control
This question is about portion control. The result of the this question is that 24.1% of the people we surveyed understand what portion control is while 75.9% of people we also surveyed are do not know what portion control is. This told us that our market will perhaps appreciate our use of portion control. Also, portion control can help teach a person how to live a healthy lifestyle.
Portion control is understanding how much a serving size of food is and how many calories or energy a serving contains. We asked this question because we want to decide whether to have more healthier options added to our menu. Out of the 58 people we surveyed, 63% do not follow portion control while 37% do follow it.
Lifestyle
We asked people this question to the people if they lived a healthy lifestyle in which 46.6% of people did not. Meanwhile, 53.4% did establish their living a healthy lifestyle. Letting us know that a large number of people want to live a healthy lifestyle means that some people are actually living a healthy life and want to stay healthy.
When we questioned people of their meat preference there were various responses. More common ones were chicken, beef, fish, and steak. These responses allowed us to base dishes that would appeal more to our customers.
As a restaurant where we would like to provide every meal with as many good tasting vegetables as possible we asked what vegetables were preferred. Celery, carrots, mushrooms, and zucchini ranged the highest favorable.
A main goal of ours is to provide culturally diverse food to appeal to everyone. Therefore by asking many what food they preferred it was easier to compile a menu to everyone's requests. Mexican, Italian, American, Asian, Japanese, Thai, and Mediterranean were ranged the highest out of all mentioned.
Going Out
Due to the higher pricing within organic items we wouldn't want this to sway people from trying our restaurant. We asked on average what do people pay when they go out to eat, mainly people pay $10-$15. This allows us to range our plates at a sustainable price for everyone to enjoy themselves amongst what we have to offer.
Organic meals to some are repulsive therefore it was essential for us to provide familiar or favored plates just with healthier ingredients. The familiarity and comfort is our goal.
Additions of the Diner
This is a question that we surveyed people was asking them if having two truck/ shipping containers are enough to build the diner. 43.6% of people said No and 56.4% said yes. This important because it helped us see if 2 truck/shipping containers was enough. However, we found out that 2 shipping containers was not enough and we as a group decided that we should have 3 shipping containers instead.
This last question is very important because we asked people whether having a conveyor belt system was efficient and 75.9% said that we didn't need one while 24.1% said that we should have one. We took the side of 75.9% of people because we want to give an experience with a conveyor belt system in a restaurant environment like
Benihana.
